The Book Truck, a nonprofit organization located in Long Beach, is working hard end book deserts and improve literacy skills amongst teenagers in these underserved communities. The Book Truck’s mission is to increase literacy skills among foster care, homeless, and low-income teens to create a pathway out of poverty.

CAVA, a casual dining Mediterranean restaurant, opened its newest location this past month in Whittier, California. CAVA has grown tremendously in the last year, almost doubling their number of locations. This is partly due to the popularity it has garnered on social media apps such as Tik Tok.

Every year when the Grammys air in February, I enjoy reflecting on the music released in the past year. Without a doubt, 2022 was a good year for the music industry. From Beyoncé releasing an album for the first time in 6 years to Bad Bunny’s takeover in the United States. With reflection comes prospection. 2023 will be a good year of music, here are three albums I am looking forward to.
